Exhibition Description:
The Vietnam International Plastic & Rubber Industry Exhibition was founded in 2001 and has been successfully held for 15 years. The Exhibition has been greatly supported by Vietnam Ministry of Industry, Vietnam Ministry of Agriculture, Vietnam Ministry of Trade, Vietnam National Association of Banks, Chamber of Commerce of Ho Chi Minh City and other important offices and organizations. In 2015, there were more than 300 enterprises form China, Vietnam and other countries and regions attended this event, and over 15,000 traders paid a visit to it.
Market Introduction:
Vietnam is a country with 83 million populations. Vietnam joined ASEAN in 1995, APEC in 1998 and WTO in 2007, now it has the second fastest economic growth rate after China. The Vietnamese government gives great support on its plastic and rubber industry, however, the industry still relies heavily on imported raw materials and equipment. More than 90% of material rely on import for the domestic can only offer 10%. According to statistics, the annual imported material was 160-200 million tons and the import amount was about 21 billion US dollars. Currently, there are 2,200 plastic enterprises and 80% of them are located in Ho Chi Minh City. Up to the date, the annual amount of plastic products in Vietnam can reach 100 million tons, but only household plastic products have the international competitiveness. Since the domestic plastic manufactures in Vietnam can only produce general household products, therefore need further investment in the future. As the development of Vietnamese economy in recent years, the demands for industrial or household plastic products are also increasing. Products including plastic ceiling, plastic flooring, plastic panels, plastic partitions, plastic doors, plastic casement and other plastic materials are all have a huge potential market in Vietnam.
